Ours had been an all women household while growing up. Mom, my two sisters and I literally ‘manned’ the house. Working as a contractor’s assistant it was only natural for my mother to pass on basic house repair tips. While we could easily finish off woodworking jobs and at times even fix the plumbing, our skills could not have been honed had it not been for the two cordless combo sets around.
The cordless combo tool kit had it all – all the tools we needed to get on with the jobs. Not for us the dictum that women could not use power tools. Happily we could and I guess it imparted a kind of independence nothing ever could have given us. The ability to fix things on our own. I suppose you lose some you gain some. So though dad was never around, I gained in terms of self confidence by being at home with a set of power tools combo pack.
There is nothing that I cannot fix or renovate with my handy power tool combo set that I put to good use to this day. Actually when I moved in to my place, my belongings included among other things an 18v power tool cordless combo set. I do not have to wait for the condo office to handle any repair jobs that occur. Since it kind of works like therapy for me to use my cordless combo set I undertake repairs myself. My friends don’t get it when I offer to help them to hang the blinds or fix an over burdened closet.
I of course get it. Having learned the use of tools while just out of my teens there is a definite kick I get when I open my cordless combo tool set. As a keen do-it-yourselfer any home improvement project gets me raring to go. And cordless combo sets are the way to go for any kind of home job. I’ll tell you the reason why combo tool sets are a great buy. For one they are less expensive than buying each tool separately.
Second, cordless combo sets usually come with a set of batteries and a charger so you never run out of battery power when using a tool. Plus combo kits come with a cool carrying case making storage easy and so very convenient. My first cordless combo set is an eight piece unit that includes tools like circular saw, hammer drill, impact driver, impact wrench, jigsaw, miter saw, planer and rotary tool.
When buying my second cordless power combo set I must admit I was a bit confused. With so many tool combo options, brands and features I had to ascertain my own choices to see I got what I needed. Among the many features I had to check out especially the battery type, variable speed motors, keyless blade change, adjustable handles, LED lights and durable magnesium housing. It was after much browsing that I keyed on an excellent make in top line quality cordless combo sets.
